Walls...so close...air thinning...can't breathe

I came home from an architectural licensing exam study session to see Jeana sorting baby clothes into plastic bins to go in the drawers of the baby's dresser. Too bad we couldn't find any containers to go in the small plastic ones.

Yes, nesting time is here and Jeana is full tilt. I love it, really. She's beautiful and, yes, glowing. Jeana and the baby's health are great and as far as I can tell both are excited to meet -- on the outside. Unrolling the diaper cake has Jeana realizing this is real...and forever.

As for me I'm losing sleep with excitement. It's Christmas all over again. Kid in a candy store. Keeping a mental and emotional balance is more trying than I expected. At times I want to hug my enemies and slug my friends. This kid has a hold on me already. And no, Jeana, I'm not writing a book with this entry...

Big 12

Okay, one quick follow-up.

My boss got two tickets to last night's Big 12 games. He decided to take Josh. I should mention that they were tickets for the Sprint suite--the BIGGEST suite in the arena. With free food. And free drinks. And did I mention it was all free??

Josh had a great time and to top it off, they ran into my Dad's Big 12 crew on the way in...not to gloat or anything (Only a few of you readers will understand the significance of that. Sorry Dad!)

You might think I'm jealous. Okay, just a little...but I was so happy Josh got to go--it meant a lot to him and to top it off, I have a pretty great boss. That's important to an emotionally unstable, frequently tired and cranky, pregnant working professional! ;)

Getting Bigger

So far I've failed miserably at keeping up with this blog. Blame it on a busy schedule and pregnancy brain. There are only a certain number of things I can remember at one time and that number is dwindling fast.

Last weekend Josh and I were able to make a trip to Wichita to visit family (I've included a couple of pictures, and will try to add more later). We both realized on our way back to Kansas City that that may have been our last trip there as carefree, childless adults. We are looking forward to lots of family visiting us in a couple of months though!

We had a doctor's appointment this past week and everything is going smoothly. I ended up passing my glucose test with flying colors, so no worries there. Now time seems to be slowing down, and we are just waiting, and waiting...and waiting, and I'm getting bigger, and bigger....and bigger.

On a different note...6pm tonight...GO JAYHAWKS!!!!!!!! We will be glued to our television all weekend (wishing that we were actually inside the Sprint Center, 3 blocks away *sniff*).
